Working Conditions Minimum of 12 teaching hours per week during each semester Fully paid vacations Subsidized medical insurance Subsidized pension Shared office space equipped with basic communication facilities Starting salary of 2.7 million won per month (2.9 million for M.A. degree holder.) A special grant amounting to at least 10% of the annual salary will be awarded to those appointed to Jochiwon Campus positions. Classes for each lecturer at Jochiwon Campus may be scheduled for minimum three consecutive days in the week so that the lecturer does not have to stay in Jochiwon area throughout the week. Native speaker (understanding Korean is preferred but not required) Educated in native speaking countries at least from high school through undergraduate studies Minimum of Bachelor's degree (Master's degree is preferred) from an accredited four-year university and at least one year of experience in teaching the foreign language. (For Chinese economy position, at least three years of experience in the field of Chinese economy.) For English positions, TESL, TESOL or equivalent degree holders with English major background are preferred; and, those holding degrees in design and business/management areas are preferred, and may be assigned to teach English courses in the related departments.
